Former Burnley boss John Bond dies

FORMER Burnley manager John Bond has died at the age of 79. Bond was in charge of the Clarets between 1983 and 1984 but presided over a difficult period at Turf Moor. A player with West Ham and Torquay, he managed Bournemouth, Norwich and Manchester City before taking the helm to Burnley. After his Turf Moor exit he went on to manage Swansea, Birmingham, Shrewsbury and Witton.
