FULL TIME: Chesterfield 4 Accrington Stanley 3

ACCRINGTON Stanley were edged out in a seven-goal thriller at Chesterfield in League Two tonight.

Jack Lester put the hosts ahead in the eighth minute and Marc Richards doubled the lead three minutes later.

But Rommy Boco pulled a goal back in the 28th minute and it was 2-2 when Peter Murphy scored just before the hour mark.

Lester then restored Chesterfield's lead in the 66th minute but Boco equalised with his second of the game 10 minutes later.

Stanley had Michael Liddle sent off for a foul on Lester with eight minutes remaining and Terrell Forbes won it for the home side two minutes later.

Brilliant fight back last night when 2 nil down, unfortunately we were thwarted in the end by a cheating striker who not only handled the ball just before scoring their 3rd but also made a meal out of the challenge by Liddle which played a part in ensuring Stanley were down to 10 men for the last ten minutes when it was 3 apiece.
On the positive side, never read such praise from an opposition fans forum after a game - one even described us as 'like Barcelona'.
