Accrington Stanley boss hails side's spirit

ACCRINGTON Stanley boss Paul Cook praised his players for the way they recovered from a goal down to claim a point at Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday.
The Reds trailed 1-0 going into the final stages but Peter Murphy levelled the match from Lee Molyneux’s cross.
“The lads have got great tenacity, it’s a great compliment that they can keep going and try to get an equaliser,” Cook said.
“You have to have a bit of luck, Dagenham will feel a bit aggrieved only to be 1-0 up at that stage but it happened to us last week against Bradford.
“Every point you pick up in this league is very important. It’s three games away from home unbeaten, which is a great stat to have.
“We didn’t play well, we never got going.
“Dagenham made it really difficult for us and going into the second half were very much in the ascendancy.
“I actually think once they scored it seemed to ignite us into our best passage of play.
“Probably at that stage we were on top and deserved a point.”
