Blackburn Rovers defender fit for Ashton Gate trip

BLACKBURN Rovers defender Scott Dann is expected to be fit for Saturday’s trip to Bristol City – but a late decision will be made on Colin Kazim-Richards.

Dann limped out of Rovers’ 3-3 draw at Leeds a fortnight ago with a hamstring problem but has recovered in time for this weekend’s visit to Ashton Gate.

Kazim-Richards has missed three games after sustaining a knee injury in the victory over Hull, when he scored the only goal of the game, but may not yet be ready to make his return.

Martin Olsson is in contention after returning to training with Rovers, while Gael Givet has overcome a foot injury.

a loan deal could mean that he rates him but knows he can't risk him with too much game time to get match fit.a short loan could work for both the player and the club. i agree he's another that has been under-utilised mainly due to circumstances. had we not been battling last season, he may have got more game time.

Simon would be ideal to provide the service for Jordan. However....

@RileyJtriley 13 Sep
@CryerRovers Any truth in the rumour, Simon to go out on loan?

@CryerRovers
@RileyJtriley It is being talked about

Looks like it's down to money again...

From his wiki page............Duri
ng his first season at the club, Vukčević made little impact in helping the club survive the Premier League season due to a lack of appearances. Vukčević only appeared 10 times in the season and only mananged to score 2 goals. It was rumoured that Vukčević had contract issues midway through the season. This meant that he did not make a single appearance after 7 January 2012.

Vukčević made his first start of the 2012-13 season on the 29 August 2012, in a League Cup second round match against Milton Keynes Dons, in which he played the full 90 minutes..

I would have set his target at 22 points from 7 games...

Why are we discussing the return of Colin Kazim Richards? Surely he should be indefinately benched now. We have Rhodes, Rochina and Gomez who are fit, at the club and all better than him.

2 cheap tap in's from close range for CKR and hes the new ewood hero. Did anyone else watch the rest of the Hull match where for CKR's total time on the pitch he managed the one solitary shot on goal and squandered COUNTLESS other oppertunities?

If he hadn't poked in that loose ball in the Hull game we would be discussing what an appauling game he had.

Waste of space, waste of time, greedy, slow, loanee player.

Are you Joking? Waste of Space? Ha ha the lad has only played 2 games and scored 2 goals. Without doubt the stupidest premature comment I have ever heard.

So that means we will certainly concede at least once, got no faith in the lad, unreliable, positionally inept but to be fair we are defensively naive at best with the obvious lack of quality coaching and organisation. Still putting Rovers down for an away win mind.

Here here, totally agree. Rhodes was 5hite at Leeds, I know I was there.
This clown thinks big price equals good player. Remember Kevin Davies? Enough said

Not too bothered about Scott Dann, a very average player! Very happy about Gael Givet being fit though, top player! Talking of defenders, lets hope Hanley sorts his self out. He was developing as a pretty good player last season.

As for Colin K R, I have a sneaking suspicion he has a long term problem with fitness, a fine player though

Believe me Rhodes is a goal scorer and you cannot suggest after one match away at a difficult venue like Elland Road that Rhodes is no good! I would have bought him if I was in charge as it is a definate given the service the lad will score a plenty.

Dann is a useless fraud. Biggest waste of money and cannot even cut it at championship level, unless he has a good partner doing his running. He has Givet the former reserve as his partner.
