Accrington Stanley have completed the signing of Benin international Rommy Boco from Sligo Rovers for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-year-old returns to the Crown Ground for a second spell after playing over 70 games for the Reds between 2005 and 2007. He has agreed a one-year contract at the club.
He is already written in the Stanley history books having scored the club's first goals in the Football League for 44 years against Barnet in 2006.
"I think this is a good opportunity for me. It's always a dream for any player to be in the Football League so I really wanted to come back to England," he said.
"I never forgot what Accrington did for me, the fans always received me well and it was my first club in England so I have good memories here.
"I had a very good time playing with Sligo in Ireland, playing really good football and I really enjoyed the place. It's a bit sad but sometimes in life you have to make a move.
"I think if everything goes well for them they're going to win the league and I'll be very happy for them if that happens because it's the club that has looked after me and done everything for me.
I can't thank them enough."
Rommy will wear the number 33 shirt at the Crown Ground but must wait for international clearance before he can make his second Stanley debut.
