FULL TIME: Accrington Stanley 0 Exeter City 3

ACCRINGTON Stanley’s 100 per cent record came to an end as Exeter City secured a comfortable victory at the Crown Ground this afternoon.

Alan Gow put the visitors ahead in the 14th minute when he curled the ball into the far corner from the edge of the box.

Padraig Amond had a goal ruled out for offside shortly in the 54th minute and seconds later Gow cut in from the left at the other end to add his second goal from a tight angle.

Exeter had a chance to make it 3-0 with 17 minutes remaining but Ian Dunbavin saved Guillem Bauza’s penalty after Aidan Chippendale had felled Scott Bennett.

But the third goal did arrive in the third minute of injury time as Bauza turned home from close range after John O’Flynn had headed down Liam Sercombe’s cross.
