Kazim-Richards touch and go for Leicester clash

COLIN Kazim-Richards will undergo a scan on his knee this afternoon to determine the extent of the injury suffered last night.

The Blackburn Rovers striker has been described as "touch and go" for Saturday's visit of Leicester City after hobbling off at the end of Wednesday's 1-0 win over Hull.

Rovers' loanee has scored two goals in his first two league games for the club and would be a big miss on Saturday.

Boss Steve Kean said: "He is still sore and the knee is a bit swollen. He will have a scan this afternoon.

"We will see later, but it is looking touch and go whether he makes the weekend."

this would be a loss, bu would be great to see rochina bck i reckon he can have a real impact at this level,
I actually think goodwillie could do a job in the hamopionship, lets face ot he scored goals for dundee united at what is pretty much a similar level, i agree he isnt premier league material but at this levle i have a sneaky suspicion that he will do ok.

oh and marradonner.........
.....why would we recall anderson? hes a centre half you lemon

First Best now Kazim Richards and both knees! I'm not as convinced as others about Goodwillie and Rochina but there might not be many other options unless he tries Gomes on his own up front. I doubt he'd last the 90 minutes and anyway he looks the kind of player who needs someone to link with. The Rhodes thing looks as dead as ever so I'm not holding my breath in that direction. We need another win to build on the early foundations laid, not a faltering effort due to injuries.

Kean loses one game and his '16 out of 21' is all but down the pan.

Sorry no sympathy for Kean if he doesnt make it - just another excuse to play Dunn before all other fitter faster players

its tactics playing one striker up front with not much support. CKR ran his socks off last night and hobbling 5 minutes before he could not carry on. He should have subbed when he was hobbling and holding hus ankles before he went down later.

McClaret says...

None of you can surely be surprised at this news, he is more injury prone than Pato. Understand that you want to change manager but if you drag your team down you could ruin any chance of a decent start and recent seasons have shown those who start best in the championship have achieved the most. Great to be in the same division again, albeit a league lower than we would both like.

Isn't it about time the majority got off the Kean Band Wagon, Lets give the bloke a chance, Isn't it wonderful to have all the knowledge of a what people see from a distance, agreeing with each other with the so called poor management. If they can do better, then pack up your tool box and get in touch with the Venkys. I wonder how long it will be before we see a group marching towards Ewood on a match day followed by a number of moronic kids who don't even know what day it is, Support Your Team don't keep looking for the easy target Who on earth would want to come and manage Rovers when they have some supporters hell bent on dragging them down
What an appallng post; Mr Agnew's handiwork, no doubt. It is not the supporters who have dragged Rovers down, that distinction goes to one man alone - Steve Kean. Look at his record, Min Jeeta; his failures since October 2010 are too numerous to mention here. The cretin has had far too many chances (God alone knows why) and his departure should have been announced a long time ago. Lay off the fans, who see clearly that the long walk to salvation has no room on the path for Kean. If prolonged supporter protest is what it takes to achieve that objective then so be it.

Shabby has gone very quiet since the players have said he is not welcome on the team bus and Shabby responded that he hates going on the bus anyway.

I read all the coments what the fans say, myself live in Bristol now, have for many years and all my time as a rovers supporter 60 years to be honest,I have never known such trouble coming from the fans, myself KEAN should be gone should have gone after the BOLTON game last season,my son in Blackburn and works for rovers, wont say were could get him in trouble,it hurts so much what the owners and KEAN have done to this once very proud club, listening to sports news yesterday, and all I heard from so called sport pundits was RHODES should not go to rovers,as all whats happening there would be a big mistake.
Offends me really because all these so called pundits, they were the ones that blamed the fans for being bad towards KEAN and VENKYS just think what would be said if it was MAN UTD millions in dept and still the sun shines out of there arse, anyway enough said, just hope we all get together and get rid of this set up,as for myself even though I live in Bristol my heart goes out to you fans, stick to what you doing, dont go to ewood, hate saying that but if only way to get rid of all that is there so be it.
