9:44pm Tuesday 21st August 2012 in Sport
ACCRINGTON Stanley maintained their 100 per cent record in League Two with victory at home to Port Vale tonight.
The Reds took the lead two minutes before half time as Karl Sheppard was felled by Port Vale keeper Chris Neal and Padraig Amond slammed home the penalty.
Ian Dunbavin was required to make a number of fine saves after the interval, while Sam Morsy headed against the post.
But Stanley made it six points out of six following Saturday’s win at Southend as substitute James Gray sealed victory three minutes into stoppage time.
Stanley: Ian Dunbavin; Dean Winnard, Toto Nsiala (Tom Eckersley 78), Peter Murphy, Michael Liddle; Craig Lindfield, Luke Joyce, George Miller, Will Hatfield; Padraig Amond (James Gray 82), Karl Sheppard (Charlie Barnett 63). Subs not used: Andrew Dawber, Adam Dawson, Luke Clark, Aidan Chippendale.

2-0 flattered Stanley but Vale didn't take 2 late chances and paid the price, and anyway Dunbavin would've saved if they'd been on target (great game, mate).
Terrific display..... when was there ever a lost cause or a challenge not made?
Amazing support from the Ultras, you lot are a credit to the club!
