A Giants test for Raptors

ONE of the former powerhouses of British basketball, Manchester Giants, will play Rossendale Raptors in a pre-season friendly next month.
The Giants – one of the dominate forces of the game over a decade ago – are back in the British Basketball League for the first time in 10 years.
The first chance to see the Giants step back in to the big time will be at Haslingden Sports Centre on Tuesday, September 11 at 8pm. Doors open at 7.30pm.
It was also be a good opportunity for the Raptors to promote basketball in Lancashire more broadly.
The night will include half time competitions, dancers, music, merchandise stalls for both sides and much more.
Tickets are £6 for adults and £3 for under 14s, £15 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. There is limited availability for tickets so you can book in advance at Haslingden Sports Centre, 01706 227016.
