TWO of our local Olympic stars posted photographs online as they let down their hair at the closing ceremony on Sunday night.

Pals Sophie Hitchon, 21, from Burnley, and Holly Bleasdale, 20, from Chorley, uploaded photographs via Twitter.

The hammer thrower and pole vaulter, both Blackburn Harriers, took part in the closing ceremony, watching acts like the Spice Girls and The Who perform.

Holly wrote: “Wow, amazing closing ceremony, amazing Olympics, amazing experience!”

Well done ladies, you have represented your country very well indeed and should be very proud of yourselves as we, the folk of lancashire, are very proud to have you as our own.
