Sporting fun on offer in Blackburn

CHILDREN are being encouraged to take part in sports as part of Blackburn with Darwen’s summer of Olympic Challenges.
The sports development team will offer coaching sessions in sports including cricket, rugby, football, tennis, netball, hockey and basketball. They will teach basic and fundamental skills, improve existing skills and enhance gameplay through mini games.
Sessions take place at Shadsworth Leisure Centre next week from Monday to Friday, between 9am and 12.30pm.
Sessions are open to children aged nine to 16 years old and cost £5 per child.
