Turk set for loan after impressing on Rovers tour

BLACKBURN Rovers will look to complete the loan signing of Colin Kazim-Richards this week after the Turk impressed on trial in Nijmegen.

The Galatasaray striker played in Rovers’ behind closed doors 0-0 ‘training match’ draw with NEC Nijmegen, after the initial fixture was called off by Dutch Police due to the threat of crowd trouble.

The 23-year-old did enough to convince Rovers he was worth pursuing their interest in him and they will bid to capture him on a season-long loan over the next few days.

Rovers are also set to complete the signing of Portuguese midfielder Diogo Rosado from Sporting Lisbon after he passed his medicals on Friday.

The Lancashire Telegraph understands the 22-year-old attacking midfielder will put pen to paper tomorrow, to become Rovers’ fifth Portuguese signing of the summer.

Rovers are also still waiting to hear whether there bid has been accepted for Huddersfield Town striker Jordan Rhodes, as they look to replace long term injury absentee Leon Best.

Kazim-Richards can play either on the wing or as a striker and had prev-iously been on trial at West Ham.

The 25-year-old played for Bury, Brighton and Sheffield United earlier in his career, before moving to Fenerbahce in 2007.

He moved on to Galatasaray in 2011 but was on loan at Olympiacos last season.

Rosado joins Rovers on a free transfer having impressed during a loan spell at Portuguese first division side Feirense last season.

Liverpool and Chelsea have been reported to have shown interest in him in the past, with his Sporting Lisbon contract now up.

Meanwhile, Stoke City are understood to be preparing a loan bid for want away midfielder Steven Nzonzi.

Rovers are prepared to let him leave the club temporarily but still believe he has a part to play in the club’s future.

Summer signing Dickson Etuhu made his Rovers debut in yesterday’s behind closed doors training match against NEC Nijmegen, following his move from Fulham on Friday.

Rovers fans were unable to see him in action though after the fixture at NEC was called off by police in fear of crowd trouble.

A training match was hastily arranged between the two sides elsewhere, with fans not allowed in on police orders.

I wouldn't hold your breath about them getting rid of Kean. If they don't know now that he hasn't got a clue over managing a club they never will.

It doesn't matter to me any more. I'm not going and I'm not supporting them after the way they have demolished BRFC........ Good luck to the players though.

Couldn't dream this up, could you? Well the Agnew PR drive most certainly can - 80 Rovers fans running riot so it seems - lol! No, no -PA was horrified that the Kean out campain continued in Deventer even without Kinnochios presence!

So what now, what can I do for my 'chum' returning to 'manage' a team beaten 4-2 by a Dutch second division side following a family bereavement - condolences, even to you Mr.Kean - for all your lies!

What now? PA decides to start the SMEAR campaign against the fans AGAIN!

Blackburn Rovers are so full of 'hooligans' - no we've taken 80 fans to Holland and are just taking the Kean OUT campaign on the road. Don't believe the headlines - it's a disgrace that we have a guy within the club working against it's fans - who are desperate to come back and get behind THEIR team - not 'yours' that you've 'supported since a boy' PA - you're tarnished and have got to go when Kean does!

SHEBBY - ACT NOW! Then 8,500 (hang your heads in shame!) can be joined by thousands of others, who will stay away until the lies STOP!

The events over the weekend in Holland just go to show what depths the press will go to to try to show the fans of BRFC in a bad light. The truth of the matter seems to be that a large contingent of Dutch football hooligans took it into their head to round on a "few" Rovers fans. We all know that Dutch football fans are renowned for their aggressive behaviour. I don't for one minute think that the few Rovers fans there started anything. But having been attacked they would obviously retaliate.
If the Dutch polie cannot control a few of their fans from attacking visiting fans with all their wealth of experience then it is obvious that this event was stage managed to discredit the Rovers fans.

Whoever said that protesting isn't working only needs to compare the state of the club now with pre Venks.

The reason why the club is in dire straights is because the owners have had free reign to mess up and have now blatantly thrown down the gauntlet to the fans and said, we are going to do whatever we want, and there's nothing you can do to stop us.

If anyone dare blame the fans for that they need to see how much easier they dismantle the club without protest.

They can't attract proper backroom staff, they certainly can't attract proper players without cutting off their nose, offering obscene overtime contracts, that no one else would consider for logical reasons.

When they were forced to make a statement to the public by sky, all they could muster up was, they were confused??

If there were no protesters the feeling of guilt would be unbelieveable to allow this set of rouges to do as they wish, If I could afford the luxury of going to see this bunch of learners, it would only be worth it if I could voice my opinion.

I only hope those who have used their cash in this way can think for themselves and not let the club slip through their fingers.

What do we make of this preseason.
Keans spent no time with the players...either in Portugal failing to sign the player he really wanted but not resisting what was on offer on the "clearance" shelves or in Scotland.
It's clear that at least 2 defenders will be sold before the start of the season and we won't even have Nzonzi to fill in at centre back.
We HAVE to be the worst managed club in England.
Sort it out Venkys or sell the club
Just got my tickets and train tickets to Ipswich :)

Well what a plank you are. You actually admit to wanting Rovers to lose their first 6 games. What a great supporter you are. BRFC is better off losing fans like you. There is another team 10 miles down the M65 with fans as thick as you. Off you trot you moron. I apologise to everyone for name calling but how can any fan wish that on their own team. Regardless of who is the manager. I want Kean out as much as the next man but I can't believe anyone can want their own team to get beat. Unbelievable!!!!!!!

How can that bloke possibly have another 6 games. Sack him now before this season is ruined!
I can only look at this as a positive for Rovers, alot of people are saying he is untouchable! If this is true i am excited for next season, we can go up with a decent manager

What a plank Agnew is - Encouraged by season ticket sales at 8500 if this figure is to be believed - and these figures 2000 below the last time we played in the Championship - tells you exactly what the majority of fans think of Kean and the regime at Ewood!!!!
Whilst it would be an awful introduction to the Championship - if loosing some initial games leads to Kean being 'fired' then I would be happy to go with it because ultimately both the financial/support gain would out weigh the downside of having this idiot in charge for another season!!!!

You can add Dangerous dave to the list of people wanting Kean out so badly they are prepared to lose the first six. That is now three in 10 minutes. On that score you cuold probably add hundreds more prepared to lose. Painful as it seems it is probably going to be the ONLY way to get rid.

Some of the comments on here. Jesus.

I am sure that as much as Kean is from all previous attempts a poor manager, he is desperate to keep his job, prove himself, and get off to a good start. He is after all, extremely determined to stay as our manager. This is actually to be applauded.

And I for one say good luck to him. If we win our first six games, and get some momentum, we will be in a great position to re-strengthen again in January. All this about wanting us to lose our first six games. Awful. If we do and sack Kean, and get someone in, there is no guarantee they will be able to change things.

I therefore am looking at the season with some hope that we might finally start to sort this whole horrible mess out. With Kean or without.

Another one. Incredible. Darener can pick you up on the M65 if you like and you can join him at Burnley. We are better off without fans like you two. I also think you will be in a huge minority when it comes to wishing your own team to lose 6 games. The majority for Kean out, yes. Certainly not for what you two are saying. I just can't believe it.

There is not going to be a big knight in shining armour coming over the horison and fans do get desperate, after 18 months of hell who can blame them,
The saying "short term pain followed by long term gain" fits here I think, the chance of our sh!te manager losing 6 is more likely than him winning 6 so if some one offered me the chance to lose six and this moron leaves then so be it,
Its NOT something I want to happen but I will keep repeating the above phrase and hope it comes true, Its better than him winning 10 games all season and him still being here.

Add me to the list, I am so desperate to get Kean out I will happily take 6 defeats.

Under normal circumstances I would never feel this way, but these are desperate times and this is NOT the BRFC I have supported with a season ticket for the last 47 years.

I hasten to add I have not renewed and will NEVER go to Ewood again until Kean has gone.

Expect bigtime personality clash and fallout with Karl Pilkington inside the first 2 months of the season.

If the Dutch polie cannot control a few of their fans from attacking visiting fans with all their wealth of experience then it is obvious that this event was stage managed to discredit the Rovers fans.
Clearly this is another attempt by the Kean camp to blacken the name of the Blackburn supporters. We saw it all last season and there's nothing to suggest that it won't carry on this season. The BBC, Sky, etc are full of people signed up with Kentaro and SEM and they are all part of the same disgusting little plot to keep their man in a job.

As we all know Kean considers a draw to be a positive result. It is a rather strange experssion he has used in the past, but I remember him saying things like we have got 4 positive results out of the last six. At the time that comment came out we were close to being relegated the season before last but one win, 3 draws and 2 defeats were described this way. For me, it was 1 positive results 4 neutral results and 2 negative results, 6 points out of 18 has nothing positive about it. In fact that sort of return would probably spell relegation, if repeated over a full season.

If Kean does have six games to save his skin, then will 1 win 3 draws and 2 defeats count? That won't be good enough to get us anywhere near promotion, but in the world of Kean it will be 4 positive results out of the first 6.

Agnew is quietly confident with the S/T sales thus far all things considered ?

Just another posturing prat with attempts at putting a shine on an abysmal declining support.

Likening these attendances to the last stint in the Championship is utter folly, and in my opinion fudging the the figures. Although according to him he doesn't fudge the figures !

8500 S/T's quoted as sold ? This is at least 10,000 down on previous seasons and this is with the very reasonably priced S/T's.

Equating 2012/2013 S/T's to that of 1999/2000 is preposterous considering the price was higher than that which it is now also the club even after the relegation had the machinery and ambition coupled with, and most importantly - a club that was run by FOOTBALL people with decades of achievement under their belt.

40 years I have followed our beloved club over land & sea and never have I felt the need to question the wisdom of those who ran our club - ever !

This lot, and in particular the 'Odious One' have isolated, ostracized and humiliated me with the shabby disrespectful way they have gone about wrecking BRFC.

The whole lot of them who purport to have the best interests of BRFC at heart are liars, blagueurs and amateur at best and I will not renew or attend whilst these rotters are at the helm and BRFC are at their mercy.

It is wrong and looks like the wrong thing will carry on until someone comes along and kicks these tinkering meddling b'stards into touch.

Failing that then this supporter will never set foot down at Ewood Park until at the very least they rid us of the 'marginalized odious one'.

Pathetic.

I just can't believe it.
pick me up on the M65 now come on you know thats illegal and also dangerous i could get hit by a car you wouldnt want that now WOULD YOU?
There is not going to be a big knight in shining armour coming over the horison and fans do get desperate, after 18 months of hell who can blame them,
The saying "short term pain followed by long term gain" fits here I think, the chance of our sh!te manager losing 6 is more likely than him winning 6 so if some one offered me the chance to lose six and this moron leaves then so be it,
Its NOT something I want to happen but I will keep repeating the above phrase and hope it comes true, Its better than him winning 10 games all season and him still being here.
you dont have to want it to happen.this is steve kean we are talking about.dont wish for us to lose, because under kean we will lose more than we will win. in the past he has been `unsackable` so results did not matter. now we are being told results do count.time will tell.one thing is for certain, kean will lose games.
Never a fairer point put........

With Kean or without.
last season we won two of our first ten games, and won one of our last ten games.fair enough it was in the premier league, but kean has instilled a losing mentality into the team. if we win our first 6 games i will be amazed. a different manager would give the team a new direction. one that does not involve keans excuses for this, for that, etc.
i will never forget kean blaming the wrong type of dew on the grass for losing a game.....what a genius.
remember it is evryone elses fault rovers lose, not keans. this muppet has gone so far past his sell by date, he is rotten to the core.

The worse case scenario is mediocrity. The vile lying cretinous Fester will stay in the job unless results are bad. If we are mid table the club message will detail "period of adjustment" "new players bedding in" "its a different league".
Add me to the list of those wanting us to get hammered the first few matches, otherwise we will be infected by Kean for years. View the defeats as painfully cauterising the putrid septic wound that is Fester.

Pathetic.

If we have sold only 8,000 (should we believe any figure?) despite extending the early bird discount for 4 months until nearly kick off time (perhaps it should be renamed the crispy duck offer?) then that shows how strong the fans are prepared to be with this.

Ewood will be like a morgue. Can't see many walk on fans and if away fans in the championship are much lower you could have a 31,600 stadium about a quarter full.

What a load of rubbish! Another freebie - and he is a midfielder.
The defence let us down last season so he is happy for most of them to go and does nothing about anyone coming in to take over - even freebies. He must be trying to copy Spain and play 8 midfielders.- with a combibed value of £1.00. Kean will be just as bad this season as he was last, he is just not up to the job. We wll lose more than we win. If he is still with us at Xmas we will be doomed. Lets hope he does 'only' get 6 games - that will be 6 games more than he deserves. More than enough to get rid of him. How can anybody trust him with a football team? They must be round the bend

I think you'll find you don't need to buy a season ticket after your aggressive stance for Mr Kean's army. I'm sure a man like Kean looks after all his trolls equally.

The way Rovers were structuring the deal was the right way...hardly any deals in football these days are straight forward and usually involve all kinds of clauses and conditions. In fact there was mention of a clause being put in Rhodes contract where he could leave Rovers at the end of this season for the same fee we paid for him if we did not get promoted back to the prem. So not unusual to say no to 6 million straight-up.

Just hope the Rovers keep that same figure/sum in their minds when we go for our next target....cannot afford not to spend around 6 million to get a decent striker in. The whole season depends on this....no cheapos this time Rovers.

Now that Colin Hendry is on the coaching staff, i'd have thought that he'd be advising the Kean/Borat dream team of management, that our defence is not up to scratch. Unless he's employed in some other capacity?

If we win our first six games, and get some momentum, we will be in a great position to re-strengthen again in January. All this about wanting us to lose our first six games. Awful. If we do and sack Kean, and get someone in, there is no guarantee they will be able to change things. I therefore am looking at the season with some hope that we might finally start to sort this whole horrible mess out. With Kean or without.
At last a comment from someone with a realistic view of the situation. We need to be a lot less pessimistic, than most of the negative comments always on view here.

Thank god for commonsence at last. Win the first 6 games or lose the first six? If you are a BRFC fan then it surely must be win the first 6 games. If ( and I accept unlikely) we win the first six games we would be off to a flyer. At that point I couldn't care less if humpty dumpty is the manager. BRFC and that is what I care about would be doing well. If we lose the first six then you would hope Kean would be gone anyway. I just can't understand some fans wanting to lose the first six. I simply can't get it. Absolutely sure we are better off without you as fans. Bring the season on and let's see what happens. With or without Kean!!!!

I am surprised Karl Pilkington doesnt know all of this already, however he probably doesnt as he is ostracised by most other managers, over what happened with Big Sam.

Expect bigtime personality clash and fallout with Karl Pilkington inside the first 2 months of the season.
Somewhat of an overstatement methinks, nowhere near as bad as Baloteli although a bit of a prima donna at times. I have seen him play in the CL and EL and he is talented, worth a punt on loan.
Carry on like this its gonna be like watching Brazil, cant wait for the season to start... got my Season Ticket, filled in the Cup standing order and I can hold my head high.

Like watching Brazil?

Your right Wild Rover. Thats me done with Rovers. With people like Kean and you associated with the club its time to look on the bright side of life and that means dropping
Rovers for good and moving on.

One of the 12,000 signing off!
how can you simply sign off? Rover's is in my blood passed down from my dad, i will not just give up neither will any true fan! Incedently i wonder how may " just away matches only fans " actually have a ticket fo Ipswich away, because when i got mine yesterday they told me they hav'nt sold very many. I can't say i'm surprised to be honest!

I don't believe that anyone thinks it is ok to be lied to.....the posts are not saying that. All these posters are saying is that they want the Rovers to win as many games as possible next season, any season.

I certainly do and I think that all Rovers fans (or indeed any football fan) would want that for their team.

Kean out is another item entirely.....again I believe that almost every single Rovers fan would want him out ASAP. No conditions on 3 matches or 6 matches, get him out now.

And anyway why 6 matches? He lost a darn sight more than that last season and got us relegated from the golden goose called the prem.....so what makes anyone think he would go after 6 games this season?

And what would the result criteria be for the 6 games? Lose all 6 and he goes? Win all 6 and he gets a rise? Lose three draw three and he gets a warning? Lose two draw two win two and he gets a lollipop......yes it is farcical and a ridiculous suggestion to say he has 6 games....

Rovers just need to play as well as possible and get as many points as quickly as possible. I hated relegation last season and I don't want to go back to the bad days of the seventies when we dropped down to the third (now second) division.

Kean out now - yes.
Rovers to win games - yes.

Some deals take longer to go through.depends on how many clauses, how many bids etc. not always straight forward. HT know they'really sitting on a goldmine with Rhodes so they wont be in any rush to deal.

Our bid is as far as I know, the best one but if they feel they can get 6m outright for him, it's in their interest to sit it out. we may in the end have to stump up or move onto the next deal.

Three people who seem to accept that its Ok to be lied to.

Benal13, everyone wants Kean out!!! How difficult is that for you to understand????
The above posts are just saying we would rather win 6 games than lose them. If Rovers are top of the league I couldn't care less who is manager. When or if they lose 6 games then without doubt he should go. Before you say it yes he should already be gone.
All we are saying is it must be better for the team to win than lose. It's not hard!!!!

What fence is this Benali...? I want Rovers to win games and I want Kean out of my club. So not sure where the fence comes into it? First and foremost I want my club to win games and do well and get back in the prem.

Kean will get sacked at some point but no-one is offering us any guarantee that Kean gets sacked if we lose games now - and based on last seasons results then I wouldn't bet on him getting sacked even if we lost the first ten games. Seems he has a very firm grip (somehow) on his position in the club. For now.

I still can't find that fence you mentioned...?
