  The way Rovers were structuring the deal was the right way...hardly any deals in football these days are straight forward and usually involve all kinds of clauses and conditions. In fact there was mention of a clause being put in Rhodes contract where he could leave Rovers at the end of this season for the same fee we paid for him if we did not get promoted back to the prem. So not unusual to say no to 6 million straight-up. Just hope the Rovers keep that same figure/sum in their minds when we go for our next target....cannot afford not to spend around 6 million to get a decent striker in. The whole season depends on this....no cheapos this time Rovers.

  Alexi Fungiside, of scum, goes "public" many times in order to unsettle a player. Yes we are not "scum" or even premiership, but who knows? A player, once knowing interest, can "force" a transfer. A move to Rovers may seem attractive, at the right wages, or he might be tempted just to play football, with a chance of premiership football next season. With Rovers, may be yes, may be not. Before the "vultures" come down, we cannot predict.
