  • "I'm glad this is like another free signing, that means all the money is going to go on a big name player, Adebyour for 20 million, or van persie for 22 million. They've got there heads screwed on saving all the dosh for that one big splash out.
Agnew makes me laugh we are where we were when we used to be in the championship and if we play well they will come back.
Has anyone told him yet? sack the doughnut and they will come back."

Turk set for loan after impressing on Rovers tour

BLACKBURN Rovers will look to complete the loan signing of Colin Kazim-Richards this week after the Turk impressed on trial in Nijmegen.

The Galatasaray striker played in Rovers’ behind closed doors 0-0 ‘training match’ draw with NEC Nijmegen, after the initial fixture was called off by Dutch Police due to the threat of crowd trouble.

The 23-year-old did enough to convince Rovers he was worth pursuing their interest in him and they will bid to capture him on a season-long loan over the next few days.

Rovers are also set to complete the signing of Portuguese midfielder Diogo Rosado from Sporting Lisbon after he passed his medicals on Friday.

The Lancashire Telegraph understands the 22-year-old attacking midfielder will put pen to paper tomorrow, to become Rovers’ fifth Portuguese signing of the summer.

Rovers are also still waiting to hear whether there bid has been accepted for Huddersfield Town striker Jordan Rhodes, as they look to replace long term injury absentee Leon Best.

Kazim-Richards can play either on the wing or as a striker and had prev-iously been on trial at West Ham.

The 25-year-old played for Bury, Brighton and Sheffield United earlier in his career, before moving to Fenerbahce in 2007.

He moved on to Galatasaray in 2011 but was on loan at Olympiacos last season.

Rosado joins Rovers on a free transfer having impressed during a loan spell at Portuguese first division side Feirense last season.

Liverpool and Chelsea have been reported to have shown interest in him in the past, with his Sporting Lisbon contract now up.

Meanwhile, Stoke City are understood to be preparing a loan bid for want away midfielder Steven Nzonzi.

Rovers are prepared to let him leave the club temporarily but still believe he has a part to play in the club’s future.

Summer signing Dickson Etuhu made his Rovers debut in yesterday’s behind closed doors training match against NEC Nijmegen, following his move from Fulham on Friday.

Rovers fans were unable to see him in action though after the fixture at NEC was called off by police in fear of crowd trouble.

A training match was hastily arranged between the two sides elsewhere, with fans not allowed in on police orders.
