DANNY Murphy is understood to have completed his move to Blackburn Rovers this evening.

So once again we head into a season with a lame duck manager and a divided Ewood when one simple decision would change the world. Makes zero sense unless there are dark forces at work.

Iwill add that when I was younger nothing would have stopped me attending it just felt right I can understand fans who have bought season tickets and no way do I class them as traitors they just want to watch their team play I hope we do well and I hope they all enjoy the matches
I hate Kean for the way he has made me feel about match days but if he gets promotion I'll be glad for the fans.
So lets stop slagging fellow fans off the fact that it seems easy to set fan against fan is one reason that demos have been a failure because the fans were never prepared to stand together.
My family of four, my sister's family of four, my two work colleagues - one have bought season tickets. Half of us have been season ticket holders for over 30 years, Iv been going longer than that. It doesnt matter what anybody on here says, you can not make any arguement to support the suggestion I/we must not really be proper fans. Iv seen it all at Ewood believe me - until last season - and I got to the stage where my feelings of anger and frustration at not being able to influence what was going on, completely overtook the actual football. I stuck it out to the bitter last game and what a farce of a circus it was. Last season, I witnessed, Kean on almost a daily basis stuttering delusional predictions to the press, releasing damaging accusations about fans, fans being body searched at the gates, fans arguing and fighting in the Blackburn End, chickens on the pitch, drunks on the pitch, pundits calling us muppets, thugs, disgrace, accusing us of racism and making death threats, arguments amongst my family after games. I could go on but Im sure most of you know what Im talking about. It was the most cr#p season I can remember and it was all down to a small group of deceitful, incompetent, irresponsible, clueless, dishonest people who have no connection with Blackburn Rovers and dont give a fly's **** about those of us who do. Now excuse me if Im wrong, but nothing has changed, it's got worse. The major player in that fiasco Kean, is still in his job and we have now got the pleasure of another imposter to help him. Against that backdrop, Danny Murphy coming to get his last pay off is completely insignificant to me. I want to make this point on behalf of everybody who has made the heartbreaking decision not to renew tickets. We have not done it because we think we can starve Venkys of enough money to make them throw in the towel. Of course it wont make any difference to them. We are however doing the only thing we can do to let them know we are not prepared to be fed any more of that chicken s''t like last season, we are not lemmings that will trundle along whatever they serve up or whatever lies they give. Why is that so hard to understand? For me, if Venkys had sacked Kean this summer, I would have reconsidered because it would have been one gesture to the fans that they recognise they made a big mistake and want to rectify. Until such a move is made - not recruiting a failed PR bloke to General Manager and a Malaysian no-mark to Global Advisor and 35 year old Danny Murphy to our useless midfield. Not what most of us wanted.
It makes me so sad to read posts like the two great heartfelt comments above.
As a group I think that all our fans have acted in the way that they think is best for Rovers.
The problem is that we have been divided into two camps - those that will still attend to support the team and those that will boycott in the hope that those resonsible for our ruination will leave all the sooner.
Both sides detest the evilvenkykeanoscum that are leading us into oblivion.
In theory we could all turn up next season in large numbers and get behind the team or we could all stay at home and show the world an empty Ewood which may just shame the devils into selling up.
In reality the diehards will attend a pathetically empty stadium which will enable the football world to say that we do not deserve anything but a further relegation.
An empty stadium would serve notice that something very unusual is happening in football - something very sinister indeed.
As I know that nothing will make the majority that is now going to boycott our home games attend short of at the very, very least, the removal of kean then it is my conclusion that the only logical choice for those that want the best for Rovers is to try and ensure an empty stadium to enforce change.
I much regret the suffering that this will cause to those that will be prevented from attending against their will but in every war the innocent suffer the most and in the situation we find ourselves the only two options are war and surrender.
Only one of those options can I counternance.

hmm.. but still not answering the question.. shame. Did your BRSIT pals ring you up hurriedly telling you to stop giving away the great game plan? Let me guess. In order to make Venkys sell, you need an empty stadium so you will be resorting to standing outside the grounds on match days to try and intimidate those that try to enter the matches by hurling drunken abuse at them? I bet you have a jacket and stripes all made for your regiment that will be fighting the good fight too..

Have you renewed your season ticket: No
Would you renew your ST if Rovers signed Rooney: No
Would you renew your ST if Venky's organised a Beyonce concert at Ewood: No
Would you renew your ST if Venky's sacked Kean and replaced him with an experienced manager: Yes
Publish results in LET for Venky's to read and they might just realise that paying out Kean's contract will easily be covered by the increase in ST sales.

With much fewer away fans as well the site of a 32,000 stadium so empty will bring major embarrassment to Venky's as well as taking perhaps £5m to £10m off them in the coming year if many corporate businesses also withhold cash.
.
It might not bring them down but Indians have a class ridden society and Venky's are very arrogant people who think they are top of the hierarchy and so it really will bring major personal embarrassment for them if Ewood is empty. £5 to £10m is also a blow to them if not a fatal one it might encourage them to clear off or realise they have to sack Kean before any clean slate can be considered by the 15,000 fans?
.
Don't give up fellow blues and ignore the new names suddenly appearing on here as pro Venky as we know they are being paid - True fans can win this is they stick together and deny Venky's any credibility.

No-one is stopping anyone going to the match. It's silly talk from a clown. We are all fans in this together, and everyone should understand that whether someone wants to attend or not, it doesn't make them any less sick of what's happening.
We all have a common enemy, not each other, and we know who that is. He is bald. He likes a drink. He got his mates to take him on. He gets decent people sacked. He gets his mates taken on in top positions. He lives in delusion, and he doesn't care about lying to the fans. He is of course Steve Kean and he must have the pride of a paedo.
This terrible situation would probably disappear if that enemy went. Why our owners won't do that is literally beyond comprehension, but hey ho.
I'm guessing those who attend aren't going to be singing Steve Kean's blue and white army or anything. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if it was the opposite.

all rumoured to come to Ewood if they sign, and one month before the transfr window, that isnt a bad start by any means. Im no longer stressing about Kean, its outside anyone's control, but do believe if he doesnt deliver this season, Desai wont have much choice but to remove him from managers job, sadly i do believe hes unsackable as hes playing a much bigger role in the ownership than is let on.

The argument about "hitting them in the pocket" is massively flawed. If 10,000 ST holders boycott, they will lose revenue to the value of about 2.25 million, which, while a massive amount of money, is about what Danny Murphy will get a year, if reports are to be believed.
If they gave a toss about season ticket sales, would we really have had the farcical situation where it was impossible to buy one?
Also, boycotting and retaining a Sky subscription is ridiculous!

also, Bashir's comment about steve kean is way too sensible too. we appear to be stuck with him for whatever reason, and i for one would like to see our first XI head out onto the pitch with out having to also content with a hostile environment - at least for a few games of the season.
we don't know whether it's incompetence or somthing else, in relation to our manager and owners, but until someone turns up some evidence of wrong-doing, the door will always be open for them to implement effective changes and to turn things around. therefore, they and the team therefore have my support for the new season.
i think what would make me more comfortable would be some kind of acknowledgement that there are some key targets for the season, and if they are not met then there will be consequences. i appreciate these might not be made in public, but it would be nice to know they are there. i do think that Shebby Singh's role now makes that ever more likely, as it will be a certain amount of independent quality control on the footballing ideas and info going from kean to india.
here's hoping for improvement.

I will say this though...
Even if Rupert Murdoch turned out to be a power crazed megalomaniac, who had prime ministers and politicians and police in his pocket, and dictated policy in countries according to his greedy whims, I'd still get Sky for the darts. My continued subscription to them is surely proof of that!
Or are you saying that it should be like lent for those who don't buy STs? They should make themselves suffer in other ways too?
Whether or not anyone has Sky won't make a blind bit of difference to the continued pantomime at Rovers. Not buying STs has far more chance of that though.
People don't have to have a total boycott or nothing. They can choose to boycott pies or programmes or shirts or season tickets or whatever they want. If I'm defending people's rights to buy STs, then I think it's only fair to defend those who choose to boycott things too, partial or not. Not least because I'm one of those people.
Who says people can't boycott as much or as little, or even nothing if they want to? These are difficult times and fans are just doing what they think is best.

The team that Kean inherited was good enough to stay in the Premiership. Kean's record of buys, man management and tactics is appalling.
You notice not one of the present squad can be bribed or persuaded to make a statment that he's staying to get Rovers back where they belong, that we were unlucky to go down etc.
Of course, there'll be lots of rumours of exciting signings, it's clear there's a mutiny amongst the present squad and Rovers will have to buy a new outfit. On paper, if that's a few wise old heads, Murphy, Kewell and letting the excellent youth players come through, fine... but does anyone trust Kean to make a team of that mixture ?
Aided and abetted by a Malaysian who has never kicked a ball in England ?
As to not renewing ST, it's a matter of principle, I am many more are not going to give a penny of my hard earned cash to an outfit that has wilffully ruined my team. They will bank it in India and pay a liar and afantasist to run Rovers.
I'll go to some away games and support Stanley where they at least let the fans buy shares.

According to Leon Best on the BBC website he his to made an offer 'he may find hard to turn down' by Blackburn.
This surely confirms that those ousted from Blackburn these last 18 months were opposed to the regime of Kean ?
A couple apart as regards age the rest became casualties ?
What is not in question regards these two players, Murphy and Best, is the talents they possess, but my question is;
How long before they rebel against this cretin ?
As much as I loathe what this regime have created, and the fact I will no longer attend under this regime unless they fire this imposter, I wish for the best for our club and team this coming season.
I'm just so peeved that I have reached such a stance all things BRFC under these current circumstances that not attending will break my B&W heart, but it's important to me that BRFC are respected, and in no way have these people shown any of that going to press.

Before all the rabid idiots denounce me for being a traitor, I also believe these are the worst manager and owners rovers have ever had, but I still want to watch rovers play no matter what division.
Surely some of these posts are put on by Venky's employees. Nobody can be so gullible as to believe the hype that they put out. Any fool with half a brain must realise that to go to Ewood, in the early days of the season at least, is to provide encouragement to the discredited regime currently in place down there. For goodness sake have the sense to realise that the only way to win back our self respect as supporters (and our team) is NOT to go there, and in doing so make a silent protest that will make more impact, and more noise, than any amount of marching, chanting, planes flying overhead etc etc.
Sdaccy....you cannot seriously be saying that ALL the fans that go to Watch the Rovers at Ewood next season will be Venky supporters?
Many of the fans will still be trying to get rid of them, so they will still be chanting and flag waving.(if they can sneak them on). It is just that the majority will be either outside protesting( peacefully ) or staying away all together until the Venky's and Kean etc are gone.

Why? 1, his previous comments about Blackburn, 2, his possible connections with Kean at Fulham and 3, quite how does a 35yr old get a supposed lucrative 2 yr contract these days?
.
So for me, not a lot changes, the waters are still muddy.
.
Shebby stated the other day that 4, 5 or even 6 young players would be coming through from the Academy to represent Rovers. Fine, but is that to work with seasoned professionals or to replace them as they leave?
.
No matter. As long as Kean remains in charge, the rest of the football world shakes its head in disbelief. Given what is happening here, the bigger surprise is how anyone would even contemplate signing. I'd love to know the details in the contracts and who the agents are.

What Murphy can bring to the shambles known as Blackburn Rovers god only knows. A quality player 5-10 years ago maybe but his outburst a couple of years ago about Rovers physical approach under Sam suggests to me that he will find the rough and tumble of the Championship difficult to deal with, especially at 35. I actually cant believe why any player of any sort of pedigree would want to sign for us anyway to be honest, given the way the club is run now (or isn't run!) There is more than likely some hidden agenda with this signing. Jobs for the boys springs to mind.
I watched Mick McCarthy on match of the day last night and just thought the relief and delight he could bring to the club if he was our manager...that's how bad things have got. That's not showing any disrespect to McCarthy, he'd be perfect in my opinion for Rovers because he's everything Kean isn't - EXPERIENCED AND HONEST!

He also said despite all that Wolves should have stuck with him until the end of the season as Connor was even worse, and then sacked McCarthy (Don't we know that feeling well)!

These keyboard warrior regulars have called us ST renewers everything from SCUM, APEASERS, APOLOGISTS to Venkys spies and Keano's buddies just for discussing the topic of the article and showing approval for the signing and I'M causing friction?
Seems to me this smoke and mirrors accusation is to mask the question I've asked as no-one apart from your good self offering a dubious "plant" or drunk post explanation has yet to even condemn petergray's post which, I suspect had it been written likewise by one of us so-called Venkys spies, would have become the topic of the day.
I'd look closer to home. This morning respected blogger Mikey Delap tweeted "Why do we have to apologise for being happy about actually made a decent signing? No-one's lost sight of the bigger picture."
As usual, Mikey was spot on. Seems like from the usual mob tacticians around, no-one is supposed to say anything positive regarding Rovers or any signings until Venkys and Kean have gone without getting insulted or branded as a dingle/traitor or a half-wit.
Maybe you need to get some of these "genuine fans" to look closer in the mirror.

Also I am not a plant nor do I use any other username. Just a Rovers fan who has a different point of view, than other contributors.
Another "fan" just appearing, who's behind the regime, and is intent on causing friction between fans. It's deffo suss.
And what's with the username "just made up without any reason"? Can you not remember why you even put 11-12? Were you drunk when you did it? Were you driving at the same time perchance?

Stop causing friction between fellow fans if you are a Rovers fan as you claim. If you aren't a Rovers fan then it's surely best if you keep quiet winding up genuine ones. Or you could just come clean of course to explain your sudden appearance.

Why have you just appeared and why have you had nothing to say for the last 18 months??

I'm afraid that just doesn't wash in the face of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. You have an easy chance to prove me wrong, but instead we get silly excuses. And the truth is of course you can't prove me wrong.
You clearly haven't been reading my posts if you are suggesting I have some kind of mob mentality either. I'm the one who usually picks up on anyone having a go at fellow fans. I actually have something which is alien to you you see, it's called morals. I have something else you have a complete deficiency of too. It's called pride.
I have a chant for you next season Steve, I hope you like it. It's to the tune of Guantanamera; you know the one that's been used countless times for things like "score in a brothel, couldn't score in brothel". Well the lyrics that suit you perfectly are; "pride of a paedo, he's got the pride of paedo."
Do you like it Steve? Does it float your boat? It's true of course, you definitely have the pride of paedo. Absolutely no pride whatsoever.
Do you think the players and staff at Ewood will sing it behind your back? I suspect so Steve because you are so universally disliked.

We could sign a dream 11 and Kean woulkd fu*ck it up. It is absolutely astonishing that man is still in a job.
One of my best mates is a lifelong Wolves fan and he would tell you the same. He loved listening to Mick talk and said he was a great guy but a terrible manager who was very weak.
He also said despite all that Wolves should have stuck with him until the end of the season as Connor was even worse, and then sacked McCarthy (Don't we know that feeling well)!

I see the debate rages on here again !
I'm stunned and aghast that anyone on here or other message boards can in anyway defend that which is the Odious One.
From the outset of this appointment he, along with others, have done nothing but, dismantle and besmirch the good name of our football club, and for what ?
Vision ?
Nah, mate. These are amateurs at best tinkering with a well oiled machine attempting in building it in their own vision whilst making a sows ear of it, and all at the expense of isolating a support base that was building up nicely.
For all those that wish to attend season next then I say good luck to them, but I cannot see how they can have any real attachment to a team built around a guy who as quite literally spat in the eye of ALL Blackburn supporters with his divisive actions. Not one of those players who have unceremoniously been booted out of Ewood have had a good word to say about our beloved club. NOT ONE !
The vision that is bequeathed upon us by this lot is not one I wish to be part of when it is tarnished with LIES, and a utter disrespect to those that have built this club for 136 years.
He/they can bring in, as they once attempted, some super chuffing star, but for me they are full of the worst kind of rhetoric I have ever witnessed.
His record does not allow for him to keep churning out this positive that borders on absolute delusion. He will fail badly in the Championship by the mere fact HE his not patently good enough. Fact.
I will give it 4/5 games into the Championship campaign, and should the results, performances show a negative effect what then will the supporters, who attend, react ?
I will not support failure in the guise of positive. They, and they alone have created this horrendous situation that befalls BRFC, and, in my opinion, they have a monumental job in putting Humpty back together again. Nothing to these people appears to be a back words step although the evidence strongly suggests otherwise.

Either one on the pitch at anyone time, the risk of injury for both is quite high for the wage they may be getting, such a waste of money..... .....however Kean will probably play both and get them injured and then use that as an excuse for getting relegated.....
They sack this sorry assed imposter, and I will return, gladly.
Far to many spectators are part of football now. Something I do not recognize.
Kean and Rovers equates to the darkest period in the history of BRFC.
Do I wish to have any part of that ? No chance I cherish our football club more than they will ever do.
Hope all is well Mr French and Mr Morst ?
It is a shameful episode in our history, and, unfortunately, I cannot support this. I attempted in the most practical of ways in supporting the 'Odious One' until it become apparent that he was way out of his depth on every level.
What lays before us is the work of these despicable owners and the utter incompetence of the actions they have taken. They do not care for the history of this club, and more importantly the folk who follow our club.
Unforgivable in my estimation.
Hope all is well with you Irish Rover2 ?

Me and a pal was on the way over to a friendly in Ireland a few seasons ago by flight from Blackpool, and, alas, they wouldn't let us on the flight due to being 5 minutes late ! Gutted.
Being a pessimist all things Rovers is not something I am used to. Realistic, yes, but not how I am at this time. I am livid that I've been taken to this point of boycotting.
Just realized it is Bray Rovers, isn't it, Duffers former club ?
How I loved the Duff just as if he was one of my own :)
Fantastic privilege in having the likes of Duff donning the B&W shirt.
Why should I lower my standards in the caliber of player for BRFC or manager for that matter !
