Blackburn Rovers win Modeste appeal
2:14pm Wednesday 11th April 2012 in Sport
BLACKBURN Rovers have won their appeal against Anthony Modeste's red card at West Bromwich Albion.
Modeste was sent off for violent conduct on Saturday and was ruled out of last night's defeat to Liverpool as he started a three-match ban, with an appeal not able to be heard until today.
But that appeal has now been successful and the striker will be available for the weekend trip to Swansea City.

Like sports shoes. In the UK they are called 'Trainers' as they are worn when you are training.
In Ireland they are called 'Runners' as they are worn when you are running.
And in America, they are called 'Sneakers' for when you are sneaking to the fridge.

The last full season in the Walkers trust control the average attendance was 23,479
The first full year in Venkeys control the average attendance was 25,000
This season the average attendance is 22,301 which is a 5,413 fall in attendance from 1996.
I predict next season depending on which division we are playing in….20,000 in the PL big teams will always boost the gate…….14,000 if in the championship…alarm

My point is this why was the hearing delayed until after the Liverpool game? Man U played QPR on Sunday the day after we played....well were beaten by West Brom. Shaun Derry's appeal was heard yesterday ahead of their game tonight, so where is the logic here??
Or did we not put in the appeal until it was too late....it must be an administrative error on the part of BRFC because the Premier League would surely not put our appeal behind the Derry appeal.
To me it is another example of a poorly run club from top to bottom.
That said he is little more than useless, along with Goodwillie et al. Thankfully Yak and Junior have kept fit.

Well, only two (maybe three) defeats away from the final conclusion to the season and no more of the old & pointless clichés coming from conman Kean and Dunn (what was that all about "we have to stick together".....well they certainly did that v Liverpool ....because the marking and Dunn,s performance was very much lacking & Sunday pub team football standard at best....and that would be after a heavy night on the booze !!!).
Do the club really deserve your monies for next season tickets after the lack of
leadership from the top down to team manager and on the field performances PLUS the lack of respect re the long-standing concerns of the supporters and sponsors.
I think NOT ....

If we stay up it will be only a matter of time before we are relagated with with Venkys and co in charge so maybe this is a good thing (in a sick way) that we go down to hopefully get the club back in the town by the fans owning it (if money can be raised in such tough times) and get rid of the Venkys and co!

(a) will commit funds on a consistent and systematic basis to future transfer and/or loan activity;
(b) intends to continue to support the existing management team and staff, and that it is committed to
the future development of, and investment in, the Club’s academy and youth infrastructure;

(f) will seek to enhance the fan experience at Ewood Park itself on match days (and non match

The difference in us and the other 3 teams (excluding Wolves) apart from the managers is that they have not deliberately weakened their own squad during the relegation battle. I hope that when we are relegated, Kean is man enough to apologise for his stubborness, false assurances, lies and accusations about Rovers fans and maybe admit that we did not write to admit we were wrong and instead admit he was wrong. If this man gets any kind of managerial award, it will be a travesty and a kick in the teeth for the fans. I can believe anybody has paid for another season ticket at this stage. What is the hurry? There will be plenty of seats available

LittleRonnieHilderslI am afraid you've got this all wrong. Season tickets may not make up a huge proportion of the income however a drop in attendances of 15000 plus will make them notice. If we all renew as you intend to they will assume the slight drop was inevitable and proceed as planned. I fully intend to return at some point next year when something changes ie Kean out and Venkys either out or showing some ambition.

If you don't make a stance for change at ST renewal then your comments afterwards as far as Venkys are concerned are as important as a snowball in hell.
.
Having been going since 1965 I will not knock any Rovers fan if they renew or don't as these are strange days - but just think on if you are unhappy at present then thousands of fans not renewing in the short term is the best way to get them to take notice?

LittleRonnieHilderslwhen I said "complicit" in the destruction of this club, I meant in a inadvertent not delibiberate way. By re-newing you are obviously seen to be condoning the behaviour of these clowns. By sticking together and withdrawing our financial support we can get the message over that we have had enough. As to when will be the right time to return...obviously first and foremost kean has to go, the man is a walking disaster for our club, and the venkys have to either come good with some of their promises or make way for a new regime. Whoever that may be. As for the cost of season tickets, you can't judge the quality of the management by the price of season tickets. In the end this will always be governed by the region we live in and the ability to pay. The only level of ambition I wish for is to see my club run in a sensible and realistic way, and the supporters treated with a little respect, and not as a gang of criminals...which as been the case this season. As for anyone re-newing, thats their choice, but I feel more people are realising that withdrawing their support is a valid tactical attempt to change things.....after all nothing else seems to be working! Good luck with whatever you decide!
