  • "if they invest properly in our club then they can call it whatever they want...(as it will always be Ewood Park to all proper football fans) - but until they do show real intent and spend some money on players and a new manager then I would suggest that they best leave the Ewood Park name well alone.."

Goodwillie features in Blackburn Rovers reserve draw

DAVID Goodwillie was handed a run-out as Blackburn Rovers’ reserve team played out a goalless draw against Bolton Wanderers in Leyland tonight.

Goodwillie has been out of the first team starting line-up for the last three games and played 60 minutes to maintain match fitness.

Tom Eaves put a close range effort over for Bolton early on but Nick Blackman then fired a shot narrowly wide at the other end.

Bolton keeper Jay Lynch had to make a fine save to keep out Goodwillie’s head before the interval, before Jordan Slew put a shot over early in the second half.

Rovers: Kean, O'Connor, Aley, Knowles, Pearson, Anderson, Blackman, Fernandez, Slew, Goodwillie, Morris. Subs: Osawe, Urwin, O'Sullivan, MacLaren, Edwards, R Hanley.
