Hugo Fernandez then made it 2-0 in the 13th minute and Reece Hands put Rovers in total command with a third goal before half time.

Fernandez added his second to make it 4-0 with a minute remaining and earn Rovers a quarter final tie against Newcastle or QPR.

Rovers: Urwin, Wylie, Beesley (Mason 85), Hands (Cotton 63), Edwards, O’Connell, Fernandez, R Hanley, Haley (Payne 69), O’Sullivan, Osawe. Subs not used: Paul, Dilo.

well done a glimmer of hope for our next manager to bring into the first team squad and get us back into the premiership.

Kean was there. Possibly checking out the probable team for next year. I didn't see him just before the end so it is possible he still hasn't witnessed a Rovers clean sheet this season.

I haven't seen the youth team this year and am no expert but I thought John O'Sullivan looked pretty good in midfield with control and distribution. More enjoyable than watching the first team at the moment anyway.

An excellent performance, best game I have seen at Ewood this year. Best player was John o'sullivan, let's hope he is given a contract soon before the big fish become aware

Dont forget this is the youth team and should the First Team be relegated to the Championship , gates fall and finances become even tighter than they are - this will all lead to more financial cuts and maybe no youth team!!!
Kean has a lot to answer for and it doesn't only relate to the Premiership the whole Club and its future is in delicate state because of his and the Venkys lack of Managerial Skills!!!!!!!!!
Out with Kean Out with the Venkys!!!
