Blackburn Community Sports Club, one of the largest providers of girls football in the country, is looking for new coaches as it aims to build on its success.

The Lammack-based club have 13 girls teams with many players progressing to the Blackburn Rovers centre of Excellence.

The club also has three girls currently involved at international level.

Now it is looking for more coaches and volunteers to help continue to thrive.

“In order for us to continue to grow we would like to appoint a number of coaches and assistant coaches to our girls section,” said Ian Jones, Blackburn Community Sports Club executive officer.

“The successful candidates will receive a mentor and be supported to attend FA and statutary training.

“The role would suit either a young person who wishes to pursue a career in coaching or someone who wishes to offer their time to support young people in their community.

“We are a friendly and inclusive club with a range of social activities and some of the best facilities in the county.

“Many of our volunteers joined the club with no coaching experience but with our support have progresed to become high quality coaches.”
