Blackburn Rovers defender Gavin Gunning is on trial at League One side Scunthorpe United.
Gunning has also been a target for Aberdeen and Motherwell, where he spent last season on loan.
He captained the Rovers reserves side which won the Lancashire Senior Cup against Preston North End on Saturday.
