PHIL Jones described his Premier League debut as ‘unreal’ – before backing Blackburn Rovers’ stars of the future to complete a Chelsea double tonight.
Jones was withdrawn from the squad for tonight’s FA Youth Cup semi final second leg at Stamford Bridge to fill the void left by injuries in Rovers’ first team.
The 18-year-old was man of the match and said: “That was unreal.
"I really enjoyed it. I wish I was playing (in the Youth Cup) though.
"The boys have done brilliantly to get to this stage and they can go one further.”

Well my Rovers chums , if only Burnley had this young lad. I thought he was fantastic from the bits i saw on MOTD. If only we had 4 like him in our defence. Any chance of loaning him to us for Sunday lmao. He looks as if he will have a bright future in the game. All the best for rest of the season but only after Sunday lol. UTC

SUPREMACY!
.
Lets not make him Colin Hendry before he has played two games - A awesome debut but its feet on the ground time and take the pressure off the lad.
.

Great debut by the young lad - even the MOD pundits (Hansen and Dixon) praised him last night! Fame indeed! Dixon also had some good words to say about the team in general. Isnt it funny how peoples perceptions of us can change so quickly! One minute we are the devils children the dirtiest fouling team in history and the next we are the brave, battling Rovers!

Great... As soon as the greedy players and their parasitic agents get wind, they'll want their cut. These TV deals are killing football. You think the gulf between Rovers and the top 4 is big, jesus, look down the leagues. Total reform is needed - this is all the FA's fault for allowing the Premier League breakaway . They have created a monster!
