Fenton, Bent and Curtis are definites.
.
dont think there is a club in the 92 that Bent hasn't played for - so its a reasonable stab in any quiz.

i can hand on heart say i did'nt look em up, i have a soft spot for leicester city.. as my grandad played for them after leaving rovers back in the late 40's, so its a family thing.

but it did take me a while thinking about it in work, my boss was not happy..

van heerden left us in jan to sign for them on a free, i think.

Off the top of my head I think Birchenall did play for Rovers,I havn't looked it up.

Birchinall turned out for us for a few games at the end of his career. Late 70s/early 80s? A few very unmemorable performances. Well past his sell by date

Jeppo - Good to see you making an interesting post! But your comment on the other page was unfair and can't go unanswered -
.
So I don't make positive comment or good ideas on debates?
.
Well I got lucky when I said we could sell record ST's and improve the atmosphere if we reduced prices yet took abuse for that. We sold 19,200. That's more than the entire gate against Man City for a derby in 2007.
.
I got lucky again when I said we should sign Duffer last summer (did you see him run Juve ragged last night?).
.
And that luck yet struck again when I said Kalinic would come good early this season when he was getting stick on here.
.
Funny but at the time I took all sorts of abuse for those stances.
.
Now I am getting abuse for saying I don't like Big Sam football -
Well I did not like his football at Bolton and neither did 99% of Rovers fans.
I did not like his football at Newcastle and neither did their fans.
.
So what's your problem here? I have not changed my stance on not liking Big Sam football -simple as that!
.
Now to my mind Jeppo all 3 of the above points were very positive about BRFC and have proved good analysis and correct - it just seems you have a problem with not being able to convert me to Big Fat Sam football - fat chance!
.
I just hope my LUCK has not run out and Mrs Sam makes him retire due to heart problems this summer then we can play some proper football again!

Morst, this is what I dislike...I am about to post here, giving you clear examples of why you are wrong, but you will take absolutely no notice, which is very frustrating;
1) season tickets/pricing - it is not YOUR initiative, it is John Williams. I went to the Red Bull Salzberg game with the directors (long story that Hasslem will verify) in SEPTEMBER 2006. Absolutely top on the agenda at that time for JW was how to increase attendances. Rovers were set to try several initiatives and assess viability of each...effective pricing proved to be the best way of increasing attendances long term, hence the initiatives over last 2 seasons. The club is run like the major business that it is, they do not just make decisions because you rant on and on about them!
2) Damien Duff was on £37k a season at Newcastle. We have just sold Benni cos he was costing too much at £28k. Duff is 31. Romantic as it would be, it would be a backward step to sign Duff on £30k per week. FACT.
3) "Blackburn Rovers go out to destroy teams in order to win the League" Alex Ferguson, February 1995.
The Premier League title is passing "from Cantonas Theatre of Dreams, to Shearers Coliseum of Cold Realities" (Henry Winter:Daily Telegraph, April 1995.
- Did you refuse to go and watch the Rovers in 1995 as well???
Thanks for your support, Morst!

ahem...£37k a WEEK, not a season!! I'd love to have Duffer back on that salary!! (tho Olsson might not agree)

Morst says...
6:05pm Fri 19 Mar 10

Jeppo - hate to trump you again but I approached John Williams with the Filling Ewood ideas in 2003/4 season with the LET Jury and Andy Neild, Paul Plunkett - Ask them!
.
Credit to Mr Wiliams he did eventually catch up when he stopped talking about shoving Rovers fans up tubes....!
.
2) If you have seen Duffer this season then would you really defend paying Salgado 40K a week for two years because we could not afford Duffer!
.
Anyway I hope your happy with the proof I read your comments!
.
31st....
