Dont worry weve always got Eckersley in reserve : our very own ginger Keith Newton!

Eckersley...seriousl
y??! Whats wrong with Jordan or Edgar? I would start Jordan every week before Fox, think he's a waste of money and just got lucky on his debut, shouldn't have started against Stoke from his recent form and was completely gob smacked when he started again against Wolves, he's not just had a poor game, he's been a liability - Eagles effectively having to play left back, he looked ecstatic when he finally HAD to be replaced by Jordan as he could then get back to doing what he does best. Don't get me wrong, Jordan's not the best left back in the country or anything, he's had a couple of poor games this season but on the whole he's massively improved...but thats just my opinion!!! Also, Edgar didn't put a foot wrong when he played, neither at left back or centre half

Was intended as a joke : a p***s take on our player buying policy . Agree with your comments, but bottom line is there are maybe 4 players who have consistently acquitted themselves well this season.

We can stiil stay up but looks like we need away wins at Hull and Wigan now. Defeat at Wigan and Blackburn could effectively send us down if they win at the Turf. Hope not but its looking like the nightmare sceanario is looming.

oops, apologies, perhaps a generation thing...i've never heard of Keith Newton!! Unfortunately, I have already come to terms with relegation however, lest we all forget, that the last 18 months have been the most successful in our clubs recent history, and as embarassing as our results this season may be becoming, I am proud that I will always be able to say that I was there for every step of the journey - come on, lets be honest, i never thought i'd see Burnley playing in the premier league in my lifetime and i'm only 24...did u? So lets just get on with supporting our team, their confidence is already low, we're not doing them or ourselves any favours by not getting behind them 100%, UTC!!

Agreed but fundamental point which you and many others have still not grasped is this : its a lot easier to stay in the Prem now for several years than it has ever been, Most of the bottom 6-7 are the same ie very average quality.

We could and should have taken a gamble by buying in better quality players. It would cost a lot but pay for itself with the £50 million pa being in the Prem brings. If we go down we have missed a golden opportunity which as a club we will bitterly regret for many years.

Thats why I hate Kilby and Flood : they are the root cause of this, and relegation to the Championship could lead to financial problems given the fact our income would fall massively.
