Blackburn Rovers put more tickets on sale for Burnley fixture

BLACKBURN Rovers have put a limited number of tickets on sale for their derby trip to Burnley for season ticket holders who have already been to at least one away game this season.

Supporters who fulfil the criteria, and whose away game purchase is recorded on the Rovers database, have until Wednesday to apply for the Turf Moor fixture on Sunday, March 28, noon kick-off.

Fans must fill in an application form - available from the ticket office, the Oneroverstore in The Mall or online at www.rovers.co.uk - and all applicants will then be entered into a ballot.

Phase One applications have now been processed and tickets will be available for collection from Monday, unless special delivery was arranged during application.

Rovers supporters must make their way to the game using Rovers' official coach travel, with tickets free with a match ticket.

Match tickets cost £35 for adults, £24 for over 65s and £19 for under 15s.

Am looking forward to this one, but am afraid I will be an armchair watcher! Will get a few drinks in and enjoy! No way would I go through the security if it is going to be like down at Ewood.

I'm ineligible for a ticket - but will happily pay far more than £35 pounds for one if anybody is willing to sell!!!

Real supporters you lot are, you come on here night after night pretending to be Rovers through and through. Then when the most important away game of the season comes around against our arch rivals you either don't qualify or just can't be bothered, you bunch of plastic armchair pretenders.Don't understand why all 2,400 tickets haven't been sold in the phase one application. There where far more at both Bolton and Wigan. Maybe some haven't got the bottle to visit the Turf but the Chorley boys will be there in large numbers as always because we are "Rovers til we die".

I don't 'get' some of these "supporters" who turn their noses up at getting on this match. I mean to say when is the next time we're going to play the scruff in the top flight ?
.
10 or 20 years maybe?
.
Is sitting in front of the TV or in a Pub going to touch the atmosphere at the theatre of the scruff?
Is it fook.
.
No I'm personally looking forward to the hostile environment generated by years of jealousy and resentment toward the most successful team in Lancashire. The only thing I'm Not looking forward to is the smell from the fetid hill monkeys!
.
Gawd they smell!

There's about 150 left

Most pubs in Blackburn are full of Scum. Thats why the nightlife in the town centre is rubbish.

Better mentality, and a better night out in Bolton, Preston, Lancaster... can't blame your mates for wanting to get out of the Fernhurst sharpish...

I dont understand how or why the full allocation of these tickets havent been sold in the first couple of days. £35 may be a bit steep, but there isnt an atmosphere like it. Unfortunately I wont be going as would have to face one hell of a round trip, but if was at home I would make sure that I would be the first person there. However I will be cheering us on from some bar, donning the colours and hopefully introducing the population of Seoul to Uncle Jacks Barmy Army.

Celtic Rover - trust me I have done the T'turf trek many many times in the past icluding the 77 takeover - in fact at a Manx Cup night game once I was the first Rovers fan on the ground and exchanged plesanteries with a couple of hundred dingles!
.
But perhaps it wears off or you just get older I don't know but trust me it ain't worth a 9 hour round trip whether its live on TV or not!
.
That said enjoy your Dingle Down day and your gloat when we pick up 3 points!

True fans would travel anywhere for there club!

Im going and coming home with the 3 points! Again!

Its the 1st time in over 40 years that we have played them at Turf Moor in the Top Division!

Is this not enough reason!

The reason we didn't sell all the tickets in the first phase of applications is because there were just under 2400 people that had been to 2 or more away games...the rest had been to one. Although on several messageboards people are whinging that they don't qualify even though they've been to 2 or more away games...this is because when buying tickets they didn't ask for it to be registered on each individual account. Will be my 3rd trip to the dingledome - can't wait!

Enjoy your day - but whilst you are in Police custody (lol) for 9 hours I will -
.
Save £35
Spend 2 hrs at gym,
Watch MOTD,
Have Lunch,
Open Bottle of wine,
See the game live,
Enjoy the win,
More wine,
Post comments on here,
Have Sunday Dinner.
.
The only bit I will miss is the live celebration at the Dingle Dome - but been there, done that!

The way Blackburn and Burnley fans have been treated over these two matches is a disgrace in any other walk off life the human rights brigade would be up in arms.Jack Straw make sure it doesn't happen next season.

Morst, sorry mate but you are missing the point. We were there in '77 also. You are born a blue and you die a blue and any East Lancs derby game against Burnley is worth ten Man Utd games and a bit of inconvenience. This is our derby, especially when its the first one in the top flight for years.Youshould never lose the faith regardless of your age.

I'll guarantee a couple of things:

In view of Burnley's current form and that fellow strugglers are picking up points, defeat in the next away game and then defeat by Blacknurn could effectively relegate us.

Our poor form means a Blackburn win could to all intents and purposes end our Premier League status.

Hope not but fearing the worst. Depending on results a draw could also be a big factor in going down.

We took about 4000 to Wigan due to realisticly priced tickets @ 20 not 35. Why would anyone in their right mind want to pay 35 and put up with all the security hassle when the game can be viewed on TV?
