VINCE Grella's injury-plagued Blackburn Rovers career continued this evening after being withdrawn from this evening's reserve squad after suffering a knock in the warm-up.
The Australian midfielder was due to be in the starting line-up against Hull City's second string at Ewood Park but had to be replaced by Josh Morris just half an hour before kick off.
David Dunn, Brett Emerton, Franco Di Santo, Junior Hoilett and Yildiray Basturk did all start for a strong Rovers side though as they beat the Tigers 1-0. David Dunn's 46th minute strike from 20 yards was enough to secure the win, with Jason Lowe hitting the bar soon after.
Dunn was the star of the show, as he pushes for a start for Saturday's trip to Tottenham, while Hoilett also looked sharp in attack.
Amine Linganzi also impressed in a centre-back role, while Emerton got a valuable 90 minutes under his belt.
