TORQUAY United are set to sign 20-year-old Plymouth Argyle striker Ashley Barnes on a loan deal.
* Manchester United defender David Gray is set to move to Plymouth on a permanent deal in the summer.
* Charlie Sheringham, the son of former England striker Teddy, is attracting interest from Gillingham and Dagenham after scoring 17 goals for non-league Bishop's Stortford.
* Former England U21 boss Peter Taylor is being lined up as the next manager of Nigeria.
* The rishest man in India, Mukesh Ambani, is believed to be closing in on a takeover of Liverpool if he can persuade Tom Hicks and George Gillett to sell up.
* Morecambe midfielder Garry Hunter could be on his way to Sheffield United in the summer.
