giving more players first team experience has got to be more beneficial than a cup run for Burnley this season

In all fairness it's a game you should win with your squad players.

A potential "banana skin" here... I agree we should give some of the squad players a game, in theory they should be more than good enough for MK Dons. But we're still in the position where the financial revenue from a cup run helps.

Slightly off the topic but has anyone seen the articles over the last few days about Flybe floating on the stock market at a value of 300 million?

The Times states "It would mean a bumper payday for investors, including the family trust of Jack Walker, the late Blackburn Rovers Football Club owner, which controls 69% of the business."

Maybe they can send some of that money our way. Wishful thinking i know!

It always annoyed me that Fly Be once sponsored Brum City! Talk about helping out the enemy.

WalkerSteel group took over Jersey European Airways which included Spacegrand -it later became British European. The UK’s third largest scheduled Airline at the time-
.
... because of aggressive low cost airlines, BE was force to change its business model and Flybe was formed -The Walker Trust own (Rosedale Aviation Holdings) 69% with British Airways 15% & Flybe staff 16% -
.
Flybe headquarters are at Exeter airport named Jack Walker House! Fred Walker is the bossman now-he might feel the need to invest a few bob now!

I think the Walker family have made it quite clear that investing in BRFC is not one of their priorities.

Now Jack has gone, none of the others have the passion for the club that he had, which is why they are trying to palm the club off every year.
