MICHAEL Symes believes Accrington Stanley’s home record deserves more respect as they prepare for this afternoon’s League Two clash with Dagenham and Redbridge at the Crown Ground.
All four managers who have lost a league game at Stanley this season are no longer in charge of their teams.
Lincoln’s Peter Jackson, Darlington’s Colin Todd and Crewe’s Gudjon Thordarson were all relieved of their duties shortly after defeats at the Crown Ground, while Cheltenham’s Martin Allen came under intense pressure from fans following a 4-0 loss and is still on gardening leave despite being cleared of accusations of racism outside a nightclub.
Stanley have now won six of their last seven home games in all competitions - their best run since their non-league days - and striker Symes said: “People might think it’s a really bad result to come here and get beat, but if you’ve watched us this season at home we’re as good as anyone.”
