ALEX MacDonald has joined SPL side Falkirk on a six-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old, who is expected to figure in Burnley’s friendly at Bradford tomorrow before heading to Scotland, made six first-team appearances for the Clarets last season but has been loaned out to gain experience.
The Scotland under 19 international could appear in Falkirk’s Europa League clash with Liechtenstein side Vaduz on Thursday and will stay in Scotland until December 31.
Coyle, who won the First Division title with Falkirk as their co-player manager in 2003, said: “I know people who are still involved with the club, so I know Alex will be looked after, and I know the lad has a burning desire to play.
“He is desperate to improve and I know he will be better for the experience.”

I would have thought that he could have been earmarked for the bench and half a dozen apperances during the fisrt six months in the Prem to find out if he could cut the mustard.
