Lancashire have named a 12-man squad for today’s County Championship clash with Worcestershire Old Trafford as they aim to taste victory in the competition for the first time since May.
Since that win, also over Worcestershire, the Red Rose have lost two and drawn two, leaving them sitting fourth in the Division One table.
Seamer Saj Mahmood returns to bolster Lancashire’s attack after missing last week’s Championship fixture at Trent Bridge due to England Lions’ commitments.
But the game has come too soon for all-rounder Tom Smith. The Chorley star has resumed training following his side strain and will be in contention for Lancashire’s trip to Edgbaston next week.
