Nelson are in final of the Lancashire League 20/20 competition after they strolled past much-fancied Haslingden on Friday night.
Danny Kegg was the bowling star for the Seedhillites as he claimed 3-5 from two overs as the normally free scoring Haslingden were restricted to 99-9, John Pemberton top scoring with 24.
Nelson overcame the loss of pro Robin Peterson for just two as they replied.
But Neil Thompson (32 not out) and David Crotty (31) had already put Khurram Nazir’s men well on the road to the final with a 47-run opening stand.
In the end, they won by six wickets with 4.3 overs to spare.
They will have to wait to find out their opponents after the game between Church and Burnley was rained off.
That semi-final will now be played on Friday with the final delayed by a week.
