BURNLEY spin star Bharat Tripathi is the Thwaites Original Lancashire League SS Skyer player of the month for June.
The 19-year-old member of the town’s Tripathi cricket dynasty claimed 24 wickets in the month and is the leading amateur bowler in the league this season.
His displays have seen Burnley climb to fourth in the league.
His wicket haul for the month included six-fors against Accrington, Todmorden and derby rivals Lowerhouse.
He is the second winner of the new award, following in the footsteps of Haslingden skipper Graham Knowles.
