Roque is fan-tastic for Blackburn Rovers

ROQUE Santa Cruz has helped Blackburn Rovers to excel in a survey about how Premier League clubs look after their fans.

Commissioned by football fan mail website contacttheplayers.com, a player at each of the 20 Premier League clubs was sent a fan mail letter, with clubs being ranked on the speed and nature of their reply.

Aston Villa responded first, replying in 12 days with a signed photograph of fans’ favourite Gabby Agbonlahor.

And Rovers finished second, replying with a signed photograph of their Paraguayan striker Santa Cruz, who has at times proved a controversial figure with supporters this season after indicating that he would like to join Manchester City.

Liverpool and Arsenal tied in third position in the survey after responding quicker than Aston Villa but without a signed photograph.

Many clubs failed to respond within the five-week deadline.

Adam Brown, who is involved with the contacttheplayers.com website, said: “Villa and Blackburn really do look after their fans, and should be commended.”

The Championship table proved to be upside down as bottom club Charlton Athletic finished first in the survey.

I don't think Roque has helped us to excel this season at all. Fair enough, he's had a few good games, but the majority of the games i've been to, he looked like he couldn't be bothered and had no interest in the game! He's had his head turned, which is a shame because he was a dedicated player before that!

Santa Cruz turned his back on Rovers and will be off in the Summer! I hope he stays injured!!! If it was not for Rovers, he would still be sat on the bench in Germany!

Yet, despite it all, I witnessed him first hand on Saturday high fiving all the players in the bench area on the final whistle. He was chuffed to bits with the result.

Compare and contrast.

Blackburn Rovers and Holly Willoughby . Her cups runneth over, generous support and easy on the eye.

Bolton Wanderers and Tara Parker Dimperson - no cups, no support and not so easy on the eye.
