Blackburn Rovers Ladies keeper Krystal Parker is celebrating an international call-up to mark her meteoric rise into football’s top flight.

The 17-year-old stopper, who only joined the club from the lower leagues in the summer, has been an ever-present for Adam Lakeland’s side since first-choice keeper Danielle Hill suffered a cruciate knee injury back in August.

She was named in England’s provisional 30-player squad for the Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Chile this coming week, and was invited to spend a week with the squad at a training camp in Spain.
