IT has been a year to remember for Pioneer 79 Swimming Club.
The Hyndburn-based club has been promoted to the Speedo North West Premier Division which puts them in the top sixteen clubs in the region.
And the Pioneers have also been crowned Supreme champions at the Bolton and District Swimming and Water Polo Association annual dinner and presentation night.
The prize night was held at Swinton Park Golf Club in Manchester and the club picked up the award after accumulating the most points in all the events run by the Bolton and District SWPA over the year.
It was the first time in the club's history that they had won the award - a fitting finale to a memorable year.
