BILLY Kee could miss Stanley’s trip to Oxford United tomorrow as the Reds wait on scans on a foot injury.

The striker battled through 54 minutes of Saturday’s draw with Charlton Athletic but could now miss the trip to the Kassam Stadium, depending on the severity of the problem.

“We’ll find out the results of the scan today, we’ll know more then,” said Stanley boss John Coleman.

The loss of Kee to injury would increase the urgency to bring in reinforcements up front following the departure of Kayden Jackson to Ipswich Town.

Despite losing Jackson to the Championship side Stanley are still looking a threat up front.

But Coleman is desperate to use the loan market to strengthen, even if he admits it is a frustrating wait at the moment, with any business likely to go close to the deadline on August 31.

“We still are looking to add to that but we have got players who are creative all over the park,” the Reds boss said of his side’s attacking threat.

“I think it’s important we add to that if we’re going to have the strength in depth to compete.

“I’ve got the players lined up, it’s just getting them in. It’s frustrating, I know the players I want but I’ve got to wait for their clubs to get other players in.”
