We give the lowdown on how the Stanley players performed in their weekend draw with Charlton.

Connor Ripley 8

One scuffed clearance aside, the Reds keeper was excellent. Kept his side in it with a number of strong saves, particularly in the opening quarter of the second period.

Callum Johnson 7

Solid defensively and got forward well. The goal came down his side and, although he’ll feel he could have done better against Page, it shouldn’t detract from a strong showing.

Mark Hughes     7

His experience was vital at times, made a number of key interceptions and rarely looked troubled by a dangerous Charlton front two.

Ross Sykes          7

Was involved in a physical battle with Addicks frontman Lyle Taylor and more than held his own. Occasionally sloppy in position but the teenager’s performance continue to move in the right direction.

Ben Richards-Everton     7

Offered a valuable attacking out let, particularly in the latter stages of the first half and early in the second. Operated like a winger at times while also did his job defensively. Replaced.

Jordan Clark        7

Took his goal well and never stopped trying. Drifted in and out of the game but finished strongly and could have had a second late on if his shot had more conviction.

Scott Brown       6

Industrious as ever in the middle of the park. In a game that was difficult for anyone to impose themselves on, Brown gave a committed display and worked hard.

Seamus Conneely            6

The skipper always seems to be calm and collected. Was caught in possession once but otherwise protected his back four well and recovered from a 20-minute spell where Charlton had control of the game to wrestle back momentum.

Sam Finley          8

By far Stanley’s best performer in the first half, he was quieter after the break but burst into life to create the equaliser. Playing in an advanced role seemed to suit.

Sean McConville               7

Always tried to make something happen and was involved in much of Stanley’s attacking play. His deliveries weren’t as on point as usual. Inventive.

Billy Kee               6

Barley got a kick in the first half but then almost found the net with a deft glancing header. The striker was battling a foot injury and was replaced in the second period.
