JOE Hart will have a medical with Burnley tonight ahead of signing a three-year deal.

The former England No.1 will join the Clarets in a £4million deal from Manchester City.

Hart is understood to have taken a major pay cut to move to Turf Moor in a bid to get his career back on track, having been frozen out at Manchester City over the last couple of seasons.

Burnley first made a move for the 31-year-old on Wednesday as they looked for goalkeeping reinforcements in the wake of Nick Pope’s dislocated shoulder.

The Clarets thought they had a deal agreed for Hart then but have had to be patient in their pursuit of the former Shrewsbury youngster.

Hart’s arrival means Burnley now have three of the last five goalkeepers to play for England on their books.

With Pope currently on the sidelines and Heaton battling a calf injury that is unlikely to be a problem just yet, but it could force the club to cash in on Pope or Heaton at some point.
