JANOI Donacien admits Ipswich has the 'wow factor' after the 24-year-old completed his move from Accrington Stanley to the Championship club.
The defender moved to Portman Road on Tuesday, initially on a loan switch while his work permit is cleared, with a permanent transfer agreed between the two clubs. The fee is undisclosed but is understood to be a record sale for the Reds with the fee reported to be £750,000.
And Doncaien, who spent two years at the Wham Stadium, said the chance to join Paul Hurst's side was too good to turn down.
He said: "When I was told Ipswich wanted me I thought ‘wow!’ Then I just wanted to get down here.
“It’s a massive club, a sleeping giant in the Championship really with the history the club has got.
“It’s a great opportunity for me and I can’t wait to get going.
“I can play anywhere across the back four. I don’t mind, I’ll play wherever the gaffer wants me to. I was just want to be playing for this club.”
