JANOI Donacien is set to leave Accrington Stanley for Championship side Ipswich Town, Reds boss John Coleman has revealed.
The defender, who has 12 months remaining on his contract at the Wham Stadium, is close to competing a move to East Anglia and the deal could be completed tonight.
Asked about the 24-year-old at Stanley's media day on Monday morning, Coleman said: "I think it is getting finalised today at some point. It has not been done yet but I would be surprised if he isn't an Ipswich player by tonight."
Donacien joined Stanley from Newport County in 2016 and put pen to paper on a new deal last summer.
He has made 90 appearances for the club including playing 51 games last season as the Reds won the League Two title.
Should Doncaien complete his move ahead of the weekend he could be in line for a debut for the Tractor Boys in their first game of the season against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
