THE top three in the Lancashire League all won as Walsden extended their perfect record to 14 wins from 14.

Skipper Nick Barker hit 103 from 100 balls to help his side to a seven wicket win at Burnley.

The home side were dismissed for 189 off the final ball of their innings with Joe McCluskie top scoring with 69.

Lowerhouse remain in second after beating Crompton by 64 runs. Joe Martin made his maiden senior century as he struck 106 in a total of 231-6. Martin’s brother Paddy joined him in a partnership of 171 for the second wicket with the latter making 71. In reply, Joe Hawke claimed 5-29 as Crompton were dismissed for 167.

Simon Hanson hit 106 for Ramsbottom as they overcame Colne. Rammy made 216-4 before JJ Fielding took 4-33 to help bowl Colne out for 151.

Accrington professional Janith Liyanage proved key to his side’s victory over Nelson. He made 41 while Keiren Grimshaw top scored with 53 as Accy made 175-9. Neil Thompson took 4-51 for Nelson.

Liyanage then claimed 4-37 to keep Nelson at bay despite 36 from sub pro Daryn Smit.

Darwen cantered to victory over Haslingden. The home side were bowled out for 108 having recovered from 19-4 thanks to Chris Cook-Martin (26) and Ben Swindells (20). Reece Davies and Andrew Cook each took four wickets for Darwen who eased home thanks to Ammer Mirza smashing 51 from 36 balls and Scott Jackson adding 36 as the pair put on 90 for the first wicket.

Defending champions Clitheroe’s stop start season continued as they suffered a one wicket defeat to Norden.

Clitheroe were dismissed for 104 with Jack Dewhurst making 64. Norden were in trouble at 33-5 but found a way to win in the 43rd over.

Church eased to a nine-wicket win over Rawtenstall. Professional Johnny Riekert took 4-35, Josh Dentith 3-8 and skipper Levi Wolfenden 3-20 to dismiss Rawtenstall for 75 and Sam Holt and top scored with 38 in reply.

Bacup secured a six wicket win over East Lancashire thanks to Ernest Kemm’s half century.

East Lancs were bowled out for 142 with Harry Caton top scoring with 33. Liam Naylor and Sam Lord both took four wickets for Bacup who then saw Kemm make 60 to secure the win.

Enfield claimed a seven-wicket success over Great Harwood. The home side were bowled out for 114 with Fergus Bailey taking 4-45.

Greg Jones (36) Lewis Wright (34) then anchored the chase with a stand of 65 for the opening wicket before Adam Bracewell hit a quickfire 14-ball 32 not out to see Enfield over the line.

Chris Schofield hit 47 not out for Todmorden to lead his side to a seven-wicket win over Rishton who were bowled out for 159 with Mansoor Amjad making 75.

Elsewhere, Middleton beat Rochdale by 68 runs and Littleborough saw off Milnrow by nine wickets.
