Rovers haven’t made a bid for rumoured transfer target Ellis Harrison, according to his manager.
The Lancashire Telegraph also understands there has been no contact with Cheltenham Town over a possible move for top scorer Mo Eisa.
Bristol Rovers frontman Harrison, a scorer at Ewood Park in November, was linked with a move to Rovers in the national press earlier this week.
However, Gas boss Darrell Clarke said there had been no bid or contact from Rovers over a potential move for the 24-year-old attacker who scored 12 times last season.
He told the Bristol Post: “No, I haven’t heard anything.
“There has been no offer from Blackburn Rovers for Ellis Harrison so there is no news.”
Rovers are looking to add to their strikeforce this summer following the departure of loanees Adam Armstrong and Marcus Antonsson.
The pair scored nine and eight goals respectively to help Rovers to promotion, with boss Tony Mowbray looking to fill that void.
Danny Graham has signed a new deal at the club after his 17 goals in 2017/18, with Dominic Samuel and Joe Nuttall the other strikers at Mowbray’s disposal.
Rovers chief Mowbray is also looking to add options in the wide areas following the arrivals of midfield duo Jacob Davenport and Joe Rothwell so far.
They will look to make a further four signings, two likely to be on permanent deals, while the others are set to be Premier League loanees.
Mowbray has held positive talks with a number of top flight clubs about taking some of their young prospects on season-long loan deals.
The transfer window for permanent deals shuts on August 9.
