SETTLE lost their 100 per cent record in the Ribblesdale League as Oswaldtwistle Immanuel completed a 46-run victory to climb into second spot.

Shubham Khajuria hit 70 off 51 balls including 11 boundaries to help Ossie post 240-8 with Jon Baldwin adding 50.

Josh Mullinder took 4-82 for Settle who were reduced to 39-2 in reply. Sadrian Ward (67) and Thomas Strickland (49) put on 122 for the third wicket but the pair fell in the same Andreas Sudnik (5-66) over and Settle collapsed from 161-3 to 194 all out.

Ossie are now 13 points adrift of the leaders after leapfrogging Whalley who lost to Barnoldswick.

Majid Inayat hit an unbeaten 97 and Amir Saddique made 75 as the duo put on 161 for the third wicket as Barlick posted 227-7.

That proved more than enough as Uzzir Khalid (5-44) and Chalana De Silva (4-47) helped dismiss Whalley for 163.

Read’s Matt Walker made 96 off 74 balls to help his side post 250 which proved enough to see off Ribblesdale Wanderers by 39 runs.

Primosh Perera made 98 from just 88 balls for Wanderers as Walker took 4-41.

Section B leaders Cherry Tree overcame Euxton by 34 runs to stay in top spot.

Jake Willacy made 73 in Cherry Tree’s 211-8 before Mark Hadfield took 6-66 as Euxton were bowled out for 177.

Brinscall remain second in the Section B table after a comfortable seven wicket win over Feniscowles.

Sehan Weerasinghe took 5-28 and Lee Burgess 3-48 as Feniscowles were bowled out for just 97 and Brinscall eased to their target off 17 overs.

Earby are still waiting for their first win of the season after they lost by eight wickets to Salesbury.

Earby were bowled out for 113 with Sam Bristol’s superb 7-29 doing most of the damage.

Salesbury were 2-2 but an unbeaten partnership of 112 between Sachin Rawson 51 not out and Hashen Ramanayake 52 not out saw them home.

The day’s other game saw Padiham complete a commanding victory over Baxenden.

Callum Clarke struck 109 from 105 balls and Nathan Whitehead hit 55 to help Padiham post 264.

In reply, Bash were never in contention as they were bowled out for just 48 in 19 overs.

Siviwe Gidana dominated the bowling taking 8-13 supported by Toby Burrows who took 2-34 to give Padiham victory by 216 runs.
