ERNEST Kemm single-handedly took Haslingden apart in the Lancashire League T20 competition.

In the JWL MPA group clash Haslingden were restricted to 91-9, with Bacup professional Kemm claiming five wickets for just five runs.

The South African went on to star with the bat too – top scoring with 35 as Bacup got what they needed to win in 11.1 overs.

Group leaders Ramsbottom cruised to an eight-wicket win away to Norden to stay unbeaten, despite an imposing total.

Opener Josh Tolley smacked 80 off 56 deliveries as Norden posted 173-5.

But Ramsbottom showed their mettle to reach 176 for the loss of just two wickets, and with more than an over to spare. Professional Senuran Muthusamy top scored with an unbeaten 56.

Rawtenstall (136-2) suffered a two-run win at home to Middleton (138-7).

In the JWL Founders group, Burnley moved clear of Clitheroe at the top with a convincing 135-run home win over their rivals.

Professional Asif Zakir set the tone with an incredible 101 from just 60 balls. David Brown was not far behind with 70 from 43 to post 217-4.

Clitheroe never got close and were all out for 82, and sit third in the table.

Rishton (101-3) recorded a seven-wicket win over East Lancs (100-6) at Blackburn Road.

Colne earned their first win in the competition this season, at the third attempt, beating Accrington.

JWL Bitter group leaders Darwen earned a four-wicket win at Enfield, who were limited to 109-6. Darwen chipped away steadily at the target, with Mark Friend top scoring with 31.

Great Harwood are still searching for their first win in the competition this season, suffering a nine-wicket defeat at home to Lowerhouse.

Allan Armer (53), professional Ashen Silva (49 not out) and Paul Houldsworth (32) batted well on their way to 144-3 but Lowerhouse were too powerful in their reply. Opener Francois Haasbroek top scored with 82 from 54 deliveries.

Church (122-9) won by seven wickets away to Nelson (115-4).

Todmorden (119-6) fell just short at home to Milnrow, who batted first at posted 124-9. Matt Collins took 4-7 for the hosts.
