Rovers and Liverpool will meet in a pre-season friendly next month, as announced this afternoon.
Jurgen Klopp's side will arrive at Ewood Park on Thursday, July 19 (7.45pm), their first meeting since the FA Cup tie of April 2015.
On that occasion, Philippe Coutinho scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win for the Reds after Rovers held out for a 0-0 draw at Anfield.
For the last Rovers victory you have to go back to five games, and seven years to the 3-1 win in the 2010/11 campaign.
A Martin Olsson strike, followed by a Benjani brace, had Rovers in control before Steven Gerrard scored a late consolation for the visitors.
