BURNLEY are keen to bring Jay Rodriguez back to Turf Moor this summer but will face competition from a number of Premier League rivals.

The Clarets are one of several clubs to have taken an interest in a move for the West Brom striker, who could leave the Hawthorns this summer following the Baggies' relegation from the Premier League.

Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and West Ham are also monitoring developments around Rodriguez, who scored 11 goals for West Brom last season.

The 28-year-old only joined the club a year ago and still has three years remaining on the contract he signed following his £12million move from Southampton.

West Brom are likely to look for a profit on that fee and could demand around £20million for the striker.

The Clarets looked at a deal to bring Rodriguez back to the club a year ago when he departed St Mary's, but wages proved to be a sticking point, but with the striker understood to be keen on a return to Turf Moor that may prove less of an issue this summer.

Rodriguez came through the youth system at Turf Moor and made 128 appearances before his £7million move to Southampton, scoring 41 goals for the Clarets.
