ENGLAND continued their World Cup preparations on Tuesday as they trained at St George's Park.

Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope trained alongside Jordan Pickford and Jack Butland, with Manchester City youngster Angus Gunn swelling the goalkeeping ranks to four.

Tom Heaton, who has been named on the standby list, will join up with the squad next week.

James Tarkowski is also on the standby list but he trained on Tuesday under the watchful eye of Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate.

Former Claret Kieran Trippier is part of the 23-man squad for Russia and he also trained at St George's Park, as did former Burnley loanee Nathaniel Chalobah, who was invited to join the group as he recovers from a serious knee injury.

Harry Kane trained for the first time since being named England captain for the World Cup.

Raheem Sterling has yet to meet up with England after the Manchester City forward was given special dispensation due to a private matter.

Sterling has missed the first two days of camp due to a private matter and will instead join up with group on Tuesday evening.

Manchester United and Chelsea players have also not arrived after being given an extended break following the FA Cup final, with Liverpool's England players also set to get some time off after Saturday's Champions League final.
