Rovers defenders Derrick Williams and Darragh Lenihan came up against skipper Charlie Mulgrew in yesterday's testimonial for Celtic captain Scott Brown.

The midfielder is marking 10 years at Celtic Park and a Hoops XI took on members of the Ireland squad who are preparing for two friendlies later this month.

Lenihan and Williams will be hoping to make their full debuts for their country in friendlies against France on May 28 and USA in Dublin on June 2 having started this game under the watchful eye of boss Martin O'Neill.

They pulled on the Irish colours in front of a packed Celtic Park crowd on Sunday where they came up against a familiar face.

Rovers captain Charlie Mulgrew, who may be in line to captain his country again when they face Peru and Mexico in their upcoming friendlies, returned to his former club to play in the game.

The 32-year-old was a team-mate of Brown during his six years with Celtic and started the game which ended all square at 2-2.
