OUR Clarets jury discuss the big issues at Turf Moor. This week it's the transfer window and what areas of the Burnley squad need strengthening this summer.

MATT RIGGS

I think the obvious area we need to strengthen is central defence. Kevin Long has done ok when he's come in but with a decent signing, I'd expect him to be back to fourth choice.

I suppose the rest of the business we do will depend on any outgoings which may happen.

Jon Walters hasn't featured with being injured and Nahki Wells hasn't seen much game time, even from the bench. Whether those two will move on remains to be seen but will need replacing if they do.

Replacements for Arfield and Marney to keep the numbers up would be beneficial.

AMER STANSFIELD-MUSHTAQ

I think this depends on how many of the four competitions that the Clarets will be involved with next season Sean Dyche will take seriously.

This season it was only the Premier League that the boss seemed to care about. With fans about to book trips abroad after the Europa League draw is made that club will have to play the strongest possible side? Which wasn’t the case in both the league and FA Cup.

I think for us to have a chance to have another good season and improve significantly we should strengthen down the spine of the team, centre back, central midfield and up top.

We have the finances to do so without breaking the bank to enable us to finally compete on all fronts.

CHRIS WILSON

Would like to see us bring in a striker with a bit of pace to offer something different to Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes.

A young up and coming right back, similar to the Charlie Taylor mould to push Matt Lowton.

A number 10 if Sean Dyche wants to play with five in midfield, a winger who can beat a full back and a young centre half. Clearing out some of our fringe players too, such as Sam Vokes, Nahki Wells, Jon Walters and Phil Bardsley.

CHRIS ELLIS

We need a centre back or to tie Ben Mee down to a new contract.

We need another central midfielder and a winger and I think we massively need a number 10 if we are going to stick with one up front.

MIKEY WATSON

I don’t want us to go overboard, but we must add more quality.

Assuming only the out of contract players leave, I would like a centre half, a centre mid (attacking minded), a wide player and a striker. All improvements. We need to push on a level and have the depth for Europe.

Wouldn’t mind Walters/Wells leaving to accommodate a striker, leaving Wood, Barnes, Vokes and another very good one.
