JAMES Tarkowski has been nominated for the Premier League player of the season award.
The Clarets centre back is on the six man shortlist for the prestigious award of a standout season at Turf Moor that has seen him win a first England cap while helping Burnley to 11 clean sheets.
Part of the award will be decided by a public vote and Tarkowski is up against Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur), David De Gea (Manchester United) and Raheem Sterling (Manchester City).
A panel of experts, including Premier League legends such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry and Rio Ferdinand cast their votes.
Public votes will represent 10 per cent of the total votes and be combined with those of the panel, in deciding who will receive the award, sponsored by EA Sports.
